Who is Royal Price? Well. Royal (along with wife Wilma) was a very good friend of Marie’s Dad. He was Bill Taylor’s “fishing buddy”. Many a weekend at the lake we (and all our kids) would see Royal at the lake property that Bill had. These are delightful people who we hadn’t seen in 20 years. We went over to Muskogee to Royal’s 90 birthday party, Marie, her sister Evelyn, her brother Paul and I. A good time was had by all.

April 6, 2008 – Yard

Thursday, June 12th, 2008

After another 3 weeks I have some more pictures of the yard and how we are looking yard wise into the Spring. The weather has generally been cool and wet so we aren’t getting much growth out of the grass and some of the bushes and plants. But things look good anyway.

The Safari east of Broken Arrow OK, is a privately owned zoo. The family went to visit this place during Spring break. Now Kyle Johnson, Karen’s son, is an “helper-volunteer” at the sanctuary, so it was natural spot to visit. Those attending were Bud and Marie, Marie’s sister Evelyn, Karen and Kyle, Laura and Dustin, and three of Matt’s and Kim’s kids Kassidy, Matthew and Alexis.

The pictuers below give you the first glance of the arrival of Spring 2008 here in Okieland. Now the weather has been a little cooler than normal so a few things are not as far along as they have been in the past. The biggest thing is the grass, namely Bermuda (native Bermuda and Tiff).
