Matt and Kim and family will be moving into their new home sometime in September. They have been unable to sell their old place due to the housing market falling apart here in Oklahoma. So, they will be renting the old place. They hope to have a contract within the next week or two.
Anyway, this is an outside view of the house that is about 6 miles south-east of Broken Arrow Oklahoma. We’ll add some pictures of the outside to this blog later this week.

The Langley group – Steve, Laura and Dustin went to Dallas on the 29thof July to visit with Steve’s sister’s Margaret Lester, her husband Eddy and sons Peter and Elliott. They attended the Ranger’s game on the 29 and then goofed around the next two days before returning to Tulsa/Skiatook. That may not be accurate as the older guys went gambling at the Casino north of the Lester’s. The younger kids and their mothers went elsewhere. The pictures are those taken at the ball park and those at Margaret’s place.

Well, as normal, the get together for another family birthday is on a Sunday the 15th, at the old homestead. The occasion was Katlyn’s (Matt’s daughter) 14th Birthday which was on the 12th. Usually this would be at Maat’s and Kim’s place but as Matt and family are moving into a new house around the end of this month, or early September, things were a little out of place at their home.
I’ve been keeping the water going the last 3 weeks and I’m the only one on the street with green grass. Some of the people have green weeds but even those look sickly.
On July 20th we lost a very special person. Kim’s Mom, Charlene Lambert, passed away at St John’s Hospital here in Tulsa. She had suffered for a number of years with COPD and the last month or so, she spent mainly in the hospital. She was a long time smoker and like so many, she had a tough time breaking the habit.
Tom Albrights son Jacob, graduated from the Atlanta Georgia police academy in July. These are the photo’s that were posted on Facebook.

Sometime during the later part of June the cats from our old neighbor gave birth to three kittens. Marie immediately told the next door neighbor that they could have them. Shortly there-after one of the three kittens disappeared. We have no Idea what happened to the one kitten.
Over the past month we have tried to get the mother cat as well as the father to come to us but this really hasn’t happened. There is another older cat hanging around also. As we couldn’t just allow these cats to died because of no food or water and the high temperatures, we started feeding them. One of these days were going to have to trap them and take them to the SPCA. Anyway, we have 5 outdoor cats around.

This a picture (the one of ME) taken by a friend at the monthly retirement breakfast held here in Tulsa. When she sent the picture via E-Mail, she also sent a picture of herself and a friend from the past. Nancy Kirby lives here in Tulsa and Judy Ott-Blevins lives somewhere in Florida. Judy and Nancy get together often at numerous places around the country.

After a very good season, the Skiatook Bulldogs celebrated with a swimming party at the Skiatook Swimming Pool.
Coach Mitch Garrett presented the boys with different awards. The Coach plus his four assistants were also award placques in the form of a base for their part in making a real good season.
Fun was had by all.

This wasn’t the normal year as far as celebrating Matt’s and Laura’s birthday. Kim’s mother is in the hospital in very bad shape, so Matt and Kim were at the hospital, but the kids were at the celebration. Others were Karen, Greg and Kyle, Kassidy, Matthew and Alexis and Marie and Bud.
